Common names: Japanese jasmine, Chinese Jasmine, Primrose jasmine. This species is native to Vietnam and China. They are evergreen climbing plants that reach 3 meters (9.84 feet) in height. The stems are angular and deep green in color. The leaves are trilobed and opposite. The pretty semi-double yellow flowers are fragrant. Primrose jasmine is used to cover walls, pergolas or walls due to their rapid growth; It needs supports to climb. It's also used in large pots for terraces and patios. Jasminum mesnyi needs a light or semi-shade exposure avoiding the sun in the central hours of the day. Japanese jasmine resists frost down to -3 ºC (26.6 ºF).
